When you decide to choose QCi as your restoration contractor, you can expect a clear informative process. We want you to know what we are doing and what to expect next.
This overview will provide a basic outline of our restoration process:
INSPECTION and AUTHORIZATION
Once emergency services (i.e., water remediation, board-up, or winterization) are performed and the property is protected against further damage a QCi Restoration Specialist will contact you to schedule a meeting. This meeting will include a preliminary inspection of the damages and provide an opportunity to answer any questions you may have. Once you have chosen QCi to be your disaster restoration contractor the agreement will be signed and the deductible collected.
QCi will prepare a detailed scope of damage, which is a line by line description of the work to be performed including materials and labor. The adjuster from your insurance carrier must approve the scope of damage. Code issues and additional damage will be addressed as they arise.
Once your insurer has approved the scope of damage you will be contacted by the QCi Production Department to determine the work schedule and be assigned a superintendent who will be your primary contact throughout the reconstruction process. The superintendent will also review with you the material selections you need to make in order to complete your project.
Our QCi Purchasing Manager will provide you with a material allowance sheet. This is essentially the material list with dollar amounts included. It is very important that your selections be made promptly in order to keep your project on schedule. For your convenience QCi offers an in-house showroom where you can make the majority of your selections with our assistance. If you choose to shop elsewhere, please obtain: SKU number, item description, make, model, price, color, and dimensions and email them to email@example.com.
QCi Restoration features an on-site showroom at our Elgin location. Anyone who has shopped at a big box store knows that it can be frustrating and time consuming. Trying to select everything for an entire house from cabinets to roof shingles to doorknobs can be overwhelming.
That is why QCi Restoration created our own showroom, to better serve our customers. With assistance from the QCi restoration design staff, you are able to select almost everything you need to restore your home or business.
QCi Restoration makes it easy, convenient and efficient. Our showroom features the latest in flooring, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, lighting fixtures, roofing materials, siding and paint.
It’s your choice. You can use QCi restoration or any other supplier you prefer. However, to the extent we can make the restoration process easy and less stressful, our showroom is a resource that is there for you.
After the scope is approved the insurance carrier will cut a check for the Actual Cash Value (ACV). When the job is complete the carrier will disburse the final payout which is the Replacement Cost Value (RCV) minus the deductible. These checks are typically made payable to you, your mortgage carrier, and QCi. Progressive statements will be sent to you at various stages throughout your project. QCi appreciates payment upon receipt. The QCi accounting department will help you navigate this process.
When the job is completed, you will be asked to sign a Completion Certificate acknowledging that the work was completed to your satisfaction. We would also appreciate it if you would fill out the questionnaire regarding the service you received. This feedback helps to ensure that we are providing the highest quality workmanship and service.
QCi Restoration warrants all work for 5 years from the date of completion or certificate of occupancy providing full payment has been received.
